Refund request process

Step 1
A student requests a refund.

Step 2

UTS processes the student’s refund through Flywire.

Step 3

Flywire contacts the student to verify payment information, as required by regulations. Please ensure the student responds promptly.

Step 4

Once Flywire receives all requested information and completes checks, the money is then refunded to the originating account within 1-2 business days.

Step 5

The student receives email notification from Flywire that the refund has been processed.

Please allow 5-10 business days for the funds to be received.

Please note: payments originally made by bank transfer cannot be refunded through Flywire and will continue to be refunded as per our current processes.

Refund charges and currency conversion

Flywire charges a processing fee equivalent to 0.75% of the pre-paid fees/deposit. Additionally, currency conversion will be applied to the transaction by Flywire using real-time exchange rates.
