Kira面试问题中的常规类别
A. 个人陈述中的基础问题
PS里那些基础问题都会换着花样出现在Kira里。
→Why You?
举例:
One of your personality traits, how can it benefit your master study?
What makes you a good candidate for 「School Name 」
→Why this Programme?
可能拆解成:
Why this School?
Why this Programme?
以及Why this Country?来提问。
举例:
3 reasons for 「School Name」.
Why do you want to pursue this degree?
Why do you want to study in London,what do you expect from living in London?
→Career Plan
Career Plan能出场的地方很多,除了单独提问,它也经常和别的问题组合起来出现。
举例:
In one minute tell me how 「School Name」fits into your career plan?
Tell me about my greatest achievement and how do these factors into your future career goals?
B. 过往经历
此类问题一般又分为:成功的经历或者失败的经历;学习的一门技能,或者社区服务等。后者比较看发挥,毕竟事情发展可能得现编。→Biggest achievement/Most meaningful thing.
这种比较正面的经历,有可能只要求描述,如果接问题的话,一般是问「为何这件事很重要」以及「有什么影响」,影响又可以分为「对自己(future plan)、对他人(benefit others)、以及对社会。
举例:
Describe the achievement of which you are most proud of and explain why?
→Failure or Difficulties
负面的经历一般都要问怎么处理,又分为两种,一种是Failure这种彻底的失败,没有挽救的余地,主要问How to motivate以及影响。
另一种是遇到Difficulties,这种仍然需要解决问题的, 就可能需要描述如何motivate,如何overcome以及如何solve the problem, 当然还有What did you learn.
举例:
What difficulties you met and what did you do?
Describe a time when you met with difficulties and how did you motivate yourself?
Describe a situation where you failed, how did this experience impact your relationship with others?
→具体情境
上述例子的都是比较直白的问法,面试者可以自选一段符合条件的经历。但很多时候情境是给定的,尤其是有问题需要解决的情境,会有很多出题方式,比如:
Describe an experience in which you got No.2 in a competition and what did you learn?
What course you’ve struggled in most and what did you do to overcome the problems? What was the outcome?
还有几种具体经历是比较常问的。
a) 对社会有益的工作:某种项目,志愿者工作以及社区工作等。
b) 非学术活动及成就。
c) 团队协作,这是相当庞大的一块,在下篇里会单独分析。举例:
The proudest achievement out of class.
Tell us about an organization or activity in which you have dedicated significant time. Why was it meaningful to you?
→“被动”经历
不一定所有的经历都是你做了某件事,也有可能你是一个“被影响”的角色。
举例:
What invention during your lifetime has the biggest impact on you and why?
An experience that your friend has let you down.
C. 目标设定与达成
一个目标从设置到达成或放弃,每一部分都可以是出题素材。→你长期/短期的目标是什么?你打算如何实现它?
举例:
Short-term/Long-term goal and plan to achieve.
Tell a goal that out of your comfortable zone and how can you ahcieve it.
→你是如何设置一个Goal的?以及它对你的重要性。
举例:
What factors will you consider when setting the Long-term career goal.
What is a long-term goal that you haven't accomplished yet? Still try? why?
→你如何预测及面对挑战?
举例:
What challenges you will meet when pursing your goal? What will you do?
→在追求目标的路上,你如何衡量进步与成功?
举例:
How do you define success in your career and how to measure your progress?
How do you measure success, and how do you achieve that?
→如何面对失败。
举例:
Share an example that you need to give up your goal, the reason why you should give up and how did you handle It.
D. 自我评价与兴趣爱好
→自我介绍与评价
举例:
Share interesting things about you that others may not know.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
→兴趣爱好
这类算是Kira的元老级题型了,很多Practice里就喜欢问,比如最喜欢的电影,想成为哪个Super Hero等。现在有追求的题库都很少有这么直白的题型。不过选个名人共进晚餐还是挺常见的。
举例:
Tell me about your interests and hobbies.
Your Favorite 「Book 、Movie、Sport、Motto、Food、Gift、Super Hero、Music、etc」
If you have the chance to spend one hour with global famous celebrities, but he cannot say anything, who will you choose and why?
E. 团队合作与沟通技能
这里其实又可以从两个角度看,一个是着眼于每个人被赋予的团队角色。另一个是人们工作时都会遇到的普遍情境。题面里常见的团队角色有:新人,普通人和领导者。→新人
新人最容易被问到的就是初来乍到要做点什么,如何融入集体。
举例:
What do you want to gain when you start a new job for the first month and what will you do?
What do you do if you're new to the group and the seniors don't want to share information with you?
→普通人
最凸显这个角色意义的,还是得在和领导意见不一样的时候。
举例:
You are negotiating with your boss with a promotion that should be executed earlier, she is hesitated and how do you convince her?
→领导者
一个好Leader, 要及时发现摸鱼的员工:
How did you approach people in your team who wasn’t contributing as much as they should?
If a member of your group came to the session but did not complete the task, how you react.
一个好Leader,在各种情况下都能带好队伍:
How do you lead your colleagues to deal with changed business priorities?
Please tell me about an experience where you led a team that consisted of a group of very different individuals.
What did you do to lead the team to accomplish the objective, and what was the outcome?
一个好Leader,有自己的带队信念:
What are the most important values and ethics that you demonstrate as a leader? Give me an example of this in practice.
What is leadership according to you?
What is your management style?
当然除了可以分角色思考外,我们在与别人合作的过程中,能出题的点是无穷无尽的,简要总结了以下几种:
→Roles, Quality and Impacts
合作中你如何理解自己的角色,你有什么样的品质使你能够胜任,你对队伍有何贡献和影响。同样的,你对别的角色有何期望?
→Fit in
如何快速融入一个新集体,以及如何帮助别人融入。
→Handle Conflicts
如何处理你与别人的观念分歧。有时候还会说到成员有不同文化背景。
→Advice and Feedback
如何正确地给建议与反馈。你得到的建议和反馈是有价值的吗,为什么?
→Persuading and Convincing
如何说服别人同意你的观点。
→Motivating and Comforting
在负面状况下,如何激励与安抚别人。
→Help Other
别人来向你寻求帮助时你该怎么做?通常是职业规划一类的问题。
→Leadership
作为领导者,你有哪些信念,如何带领团队。
F. 社交、求职与吸引投资
这一类可以总结为业界精英必备技能——求职、推销、社交以及拉投资。→自我推荐或推荐别人
你可能会遇到各种求职场景,比如偶遇CEO,又比如面试到了最后一个环节。总之要给对方留下深刻的印象。当然,也有可能是你要推荐别人。
举例:
IF you meet a CEO, how to explain that why are you suitable for the position?
Introduce a friend to a CEO you know.
→社交
因为商学院比较重视学生Networking的能力,所以会少量出现这种题型。问你是怎么利用自己的社交网络的。
举例:
Please explain why and how networking will help you in a start-up situation?
→拉投资
说服别人给钱也是必备技能,只不过你的项目有时候会有一些复杂的设定。
举例:
If you have a project of climate and global warming, how will you demonstrate to stockholders?
The project you led is running out of limited funds. How can you persuade investors to invest more money?
G. 公共议题与人文通识
这类题涵盖的面就比较广:异国文化、宗教信仰、环保节能、贫困人口、社会不公以及多元化观念都会涉及到。比较流行的是Diversity、Equity以及全球化视野这一块。

这里包括的范围很大,人种、性别和阶级都可以出题。
举例:
What is diversity according to you?
Describe a diversity activities you've participated in.
How do you promote sensitivity and inclusion in the workplace?
What is your view towards “White Supremacy is Terrorism”?
→Global Perspective
举例:
Imagine you have the chance to see how people in other cultures see the world. Which culture will you learn and why?
If a great business idea can make much profit in your own country, but it’s insensitive in other culture, will you accept?
Do you think you are the citizen of the world?
→Intercultural Communication
举例:
You are the team leader of a group. Your team members with different culture have the difficulties in understanding each other. What will you do?
→Public Welfare
举例:
If you can run an organization and benefit some groups of people, who do you think will be benefited?
Is it our duty to help the poor? Why is that?
