这一专业结合了学术与专业培养，提供两个方向：中国语言文学、教育与专业汉语，学生可以选择专攻其中一个。专业一共提供了29门必修与选修课程，在香港高校中文硕士课程的学科覆盖范围和课程数量方面排名第一，有些课程是城大独有的
入学要求
需要至少学过30小时以上的中文课程，有一年及以上工作经验的申请者会被优先考虑
