Introducing Versant - a new English placement test
A new test, Versant (VEPT) by Pearson, has replaced the Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) and will be used for all students applying to enrol in UWA College and UWA CELT’s ELICOS courses (Language and Communication Essentials, English for Academic Purposes, and IELTS Examination Preparation). Students can also use the results of this test to enter the Academic English and Study Skills Bridging Course.The VEPT takes 50 minutes and evaluates speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through a range of online questions and tasks, enabling the UWA CELT academic team to place students in the most suitable class for their existing English ability. This test is free for all UWA CELT and UWA College applicants.
Note: The VEPT cannot be used to satisfy the ELC condition on UWA degree offers. English tests that are accepted by UWA Admissions can be foundhere.
